This feminist documentary is part of an investigation project formed by three different parts:
An academic investigation, about demythologizing the superwoman stereotype, a photographic exhibition and a the testimonial, experimental documentary.
Five women, five stories and a city where the female testimonial memory, from the end of the spanish dictatorship until now, takes place. And a question still remains… Is it that women arSuperwoman? This is the synopsis which results in a (personal) reflection of the womens´ role in the Spanish society and their access to the public space working/labour environment.
The protagonists have the structural violence of the patriarchal system in common in terms of unequal working and social welfare conditions, the lack of marriage life by choice and the link
(belonging) to lower-middle class. Also, all of them point out a desired loneliness, claiming their right to decide.
The language of the film will be Spanish with English subtitles.

Next Sunday 11 February at Cowley Club, Marea Granate will share with the audience the screening of this documentary accompanied by a vegan menu from only £3.50
